Spring Lake Park Baseball Association (SLPBA)

5/21/2020 Update

The current timeline for youth baseball includes a June 1st start date for practices and a proposed June 15thstart date for games.  While this is, of course, subject to change, MYAS is working towards this goal.

First, SLPBA is crafting return-to-play guidelines leveraging the MYAS/GSBL-MBL-Minnesota Softball "Safe Play: Back to the Diamond" guidelines and neighboring Associations.  As the baseball-specific guidelines are approved at the state level, we will also update ours as appropriate.

Second, SLPBA has secured 5 gallons of Hand Sanitizer/Disinfectant for each team in SLPBA.  We will provide that to the coach with spray bottles and paper towels.  This is to be used for cleaning hands, to cleaning benches.

Finally, because we want to be completely transparent with our families, we want to let you know that as we gear up for practices on June 1st, we will be asking families to sign an updated wavier/consent form that specifically references COVID-19 before returning to play.  We will provide a link on the www.slpba.org website when that is available.
